I would proceed with caution.  Unfortunately terra cotta is very absorbent, and might wick the alcohol and vinegar through into the soil.  I haven&#039;t tried cleaning the pots once they are planted, so if you want to give it a try, I would clean a pot first that holds something easily grown (like Marigolds), that way if the plant doesn&#039;t make it you won&#039;t have a hard time replacing the plant.</description>

		<description>I&#039;m wondering if I could clean the outside of a pot while something is planted in it if I was really careful not to get the cleaning solution on the plant or soil, and if I rinsed the outside of the pot well with water after I&#039;d cleaned it.</description>
